Members of the EU Local Councillors Network from Liguria (Italy) travelled to Brussels in June 2026 for a 2-day study visit. During the programme participants gained first-hand insights into the European institutions, policies and programmes that impact local and regional communities across Europe.

The Citizens' Panel on Intergenerational Fairness was an enriching experience for me, focused on unity and exchange. It was fascinating to see people from varied backgrounds and ages come together to discuss the challenges of creating a shared, fair future for all.

On 7 May 2026, in Florence, EU Local Councillors from Tuscany met with European Commission Executive Vice-President Roxana Mînzatu on the occasion of Europe Day.

One year since its launch, the EU Local Councillors Network brings together 3,200+ members from 1,800 local authorities. Its first anniversary was marked on 10 April 2026 with a webinar highlighting local initiatives and communication efforts across Europe.

On 27 April in Milan, at the premises of ANCI Lombardia, the first regional meeting of EU Local Councillors brought together local representatives, EU institutions and network coordinators to strengthen Europe’s communication at the local level.
